@ soxfan - I think what PD meant with "any day now" was that they could have released the game a long time ago, but with less features. Than they could bring out the rest as (paid) DLC.
I don't understand how some people can criticize developers for releasing DLC that should be (or in some cases already is) on disc, and then criticize other developers for taking their time and making sure we get the best product possible. Hypocrite much?

@ happyface - You're absolutely right. Every single person who bought a PS3 in 2006/2007/2008 did it for Insomniac's games. Not for MGS4, or Uncharted, or COD4, or any of the other games that got released during that period of time. We did it for Resistance and R&C. That's why they sold so much.
And yes, losing a 2nd party developer is a major problem for Sony considering they only have a little under 20 1st party studios.

I don't know how people can say they trust Edge more than other reviewers. One could forgive them and consider they were just unusually harsh if they consistently reviewed all or most games below their average review score, independently of platform. Sony has made some mistakes this gen but if this is true, these supply shortages are their biggest one so far. Every potential costumer that walks into a store looking to buy a PS3 and comes out empty handed is a missed opportunity that may not return. Particularly impulsive buyers that just might buy another system instead. Even more so on the NA market which is the most challenging for Sony right now.
